KYRIAKOS TSAKOPOULOS serves as Co-Chairman of AKT Investments, Inc., a diversified, family-owned land development and property investment company based in Sacramento, California. He also serves as President and CEO of Conaway Preservation Group, LLC, which owns the 17,500-acre Conaway Ranch located in Yolo County. Active in regional and national civic, charitable, and political affairs with a passion for higher education policy, Mr. Tsakopoulos is a trustee emeritus of the California State University System and Columbia University as well as chairman emeritus of the UC Davis MIND Institute. In May 2025, he joined the Board of Trustees at Hillsdale College in Michigan and assisted with its plans to locate in California, beginning with Hillsdale’s Roseville Tower Theater, which opened in 2025. He serves on the boards of the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera and the Sacramento Sheriff’s Air Squadron and is an Archon/Knights Commander of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Mr. Tsakopoulos trained as an attorney and is a member of the California and United States Supreme Court Bars. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College and his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. An avid airplane pilot and sportsman, Mr. Tsakopoulos resides in Sacramento, California, with his wife, Brianne, and their three children.
