AHI Welcomes Visiting Dignitaries to Hellenic House

WASHINGTON, DC — The American Hellenic Institute welcomed two distinguished visitors to Hellenic House in early February for meetings with President Nick Larigakis. On February 2, AHI welcomed Dr. Maximos Charakopoulos, secretary general of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy and a member of the Hellenic Parliament.

During the meeting, Larigakis and Dr. Charakopoulos discussed issues of mutual interest pertaining to Orthodoxy and Hellenism, as well as the latest developments in U.S.–Greece relations.
On February 3, AHI welcomed John Saracakis, president of the American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, Greece. Larigakis and Saracakis held a dialogue on areas of mutual interest and cooperation, including issues relevant to strengthening ties between Greece and the United States.
