AHI Legislative Director Alexander Christofor Attends Launch of University of Oxford’s Eastern Mediterranean Program

NEW YORK - On October 16, 2024, AHI Legislative Director Alexander Christofor attended the launch of the University of Oxford’s Eastern Mediterranean Programme, a new addition to the South East European Studies at Oxford (SEESOX). The event took place at the University of Oxford North American Office in New York City.
The launch of the programme included a forum on Energy Security in the Eastern Mediterranean, featuring keynote speaker Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources for U.S. Department of State Geoffrey R. Pyatt, and pannalists Manal Shehabi (Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Oxford), George Hajipavli (University College, University of Oxford), moderated by Othon Anastasakis (Director SEESOX, St Antony’s College, University of Oxford). Following this was a second forum on Geopolitics in the Eastern Mediterranean, featuring panelists Marc Grossman (Former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States), Alexander Cooley (Columbia University), Elizabeth Prodromou (Boston College), Petros Vambakas (Emmanuel College) and moderated by David L. Phillips (SEESOX, University of Oxford).
