AHI President Participates in NYC Greek Independence Celebrations, Addresses Key Issues in Media Interviews

WASHINGTON – American Hellenic Institute President Nick Larigakis participated in Greek Independence Day celebrations in New York last weekend, engaging in significant discussions on U.S.-Greece relations and the Greek American community’s role in advocating for Hellenic causes.

Prior to the weekend celebrations, Skai TV interviewed President Larigakis about his letter to President Donald Trump concerning the proposed sale of F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.

During the celebrations, Larigakis was interviewed by several media outlets. Mega TV’s Washington, D.C. correspondent, Petros Kasfikis, interviewed President Larigakis on the sidelines of the New York Greek Independence Day Parade where he further elaborated on the proposed F-35s sale to Turkey and the implications of U.S. arms sales to Turkey. He also spoke with ERT World correspondent Gianna Darili, and Antenna TV, where he emphasized the significance of the parade as a symbol of cultural pride for the Greek American community.

Larigakis also had the honor of providing greetings at the pre-parade reception at the Pierre Hotel on March 30, where he underscored AHI’s commitment to advocating for the rule of law and strengthening U.S.-Greece relations.
