AHI President Larigakis Meets With General Dimitrios Choupis, Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff

WASHINGTON - On April 29, 2024, AHI President Nick Larigakis met with General Dimitrios Choupis, Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, while in Greece. It was the first official meeting between General Choupis and President Larigakis.

Larigakis briefed General Choupis on AHI’s activities and presented him with a commemorative plaque reflecting the 50th anniversary of the American Hellenic Institute.

“I sincerely thank General Choupis for his time and for the discussion on important geostrategic issues related to East Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean” Larigakis said.


The American Hellenic Institute is an independent non-profit Greek American public policy center and think tank that works to strengthen relations between the United States and Greece and Cyprus, and within the Greek American community.
