No. 20

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Saturday, March 8, 2025, AHI President Nick Larigakis and AHI legislative director Alexander Christofor participated in the National Hellenic Student Association Conference held in Washington, D.C.

Larigakis spoke on the panel "Opportunities in Greece" where he provided advice on how young Greek Americans can utilize their Hellenic roots to both further their careers and bolster the US-Greece bilateral relationship.

"Forums such as this are essential to ensuring young Greek Americans can reach their full potential and stay engaged on issues important to them," said Larigakis. "During the event, I was happy to highlight the American Hellenic Institute Foundation College Student Foreign Policy Trip, which has provided Greek Americans students the opportunity to gain an unequivocal exposure of international relations first hand for over 16 years."

Christofor was speaking both as legislative director of AHI and as an Ambassador to Washington for Ecogenia, a climate corp organization in Greece modeled off of Americorp. Ecogenia receives funding from the United States and partners with the California Conservation Corp, as highlighted in the 5th US-Greece Strategic Dialogue.
