Elias Gerasoulis Joins AHI Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, DC - The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) is pleased to announce the addition of Elias Gerasoulis to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025. Elias is a partner at Moran Global Strategies, and is a Washington, DC-based lobbyist. Elias previously served as AHI’s Director of Legislative Affairs between 2018-2021 and has subsequently done policy consulting work for AHI.
“We are pleased to welcome Elias Gerasoulis to our board,” President Nick Larigakis said. “Elias has served AHI in different capacities in the past, and I look forward to him contributing to the organization in this newest role.”

I am excited to serve alongside so many people I respect and admire and have known for many years. And I want to especially extend my thanks to AHI President Nick Larigakis, whom I have known since my college days and share a special relationship,” Elias Gerasoulis said. “AHI has played and continues to play a critical role in shaping U.S. policy towards the Eastern Mediterranean, and in the Greek American community. I look forward to contributing in every way possible to AHI, whose mission is as relevant and important as ever.”
Meet Elias
Elias Gerasoulis is an experienced government relations consultant, specializing in international affairs and the representation of foreign and sovereign clients. He has worked closely with the U.S. Congress, State Department, National Security Council, think-tanks, and NGOs in advancing client goals. Mr. Gerasoulis is currently at partner at Moran Global Strategies, the government relations firm of former Congressman Jim Moran.
Mr. Gerasoulis previously held positions at The Livingston Group, the lobbying firm of former Congressman Robert Livingston, as well as at AHI, a DC-based policy center. He also is currently the Executive Director of the Global Heritage Alliance, an advocacy group which specializes in cultural heritage policy.
Prior to his tenure at AHI, Mr. Gerasoulis worked as an adviser to the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
The American Hellenic Institute is an independent non-profit U.S. public policy center and think tank that works to strengthen U.S. relations with Greece and the Republic of Cyprus, and promote issues important to the Greek American community.
