The Hellenic Journal Publishes Cover Feature about AHI President Larigakis
No. 31
WASHINGTON, DC - The Hellenic Journal published a cover feature story for its March 2024 issue that profiled American Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis.
Managing Editor Giuliana Harris authored the five-page feature story, which is titled, “Nick Larigakis’ Dedication to Greek Heritage.”
“Nick Larigakis’ devotion to honoring his Greek descent is remarkable,” Harris wrote.
The feature details Larigakis’ family history and humble beginnings, his upbringing and college career, and how he came to work at AHI and the path on which he eventually became AHI’s President and CEO. Harris also shares Larigakis’ volunteerism in the community.
“Without a doubt, I am who I am today because of my parents helping to instill in me the importance of my Hellenic heritage, Culture, and Orthodox faith,” Larigakis said in the interview.
“I am very grateful to Managing Editor Giulianna Harris, and The Hellenic Journal’s board of directors and editorial board,” Larigakis said. “Like AHI, Frank P. Agnost identified a need in our community and founded The Hellenic Journal soon after the tragic, illegal invasion of Cyprus. The publication served as a vital communication tool, especially as the only newspaper west of the Mississippi, to cover news from overseas as well as from across our communities nationwide. I’m honored to be featured in this longstanding and reputable publication.”
The American Hellenic Institute is an independent non-profit Greek American public policy center and think tank that works to strengthen relations between the United States and Greece and Cyprus, and within the Greek American community.
