No. 64
WASHINGTON, DC — The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) announced it has released a fact sheet that details the strategic partnership between the United States and the Republic of Cyprus (ROC).
The fact sheet highlights the numerous areas where the ROC contributes to the regional interests of the United States, such as ensuring regional stability, protecting core democratic values, and promoting goals of the U.S. within the region. The report also outlines the key areas of security cooperation between the United States and the ROC such as joint military exercises, senior-level visits to the Republic of Cyprus by U.S. military leadership, and the CYCLOPS regional training center.
“The Republic of Cyprus is an invaluable partner of the United States and has proven themselves to be a key geostrategic partner in a time of unprecedented instability,” AHI President Nick Larigakis said. “Our fact sheet presents examples of the value the ROC and highlights a detailed perspective on the partnership. It is an excellent tool for policymakers to utilize when addressing the Eastern Mediterranean region.”
