WASHINGTON - American Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis recently concluded a series of meetings in Greece prior to his return stateside.

In Larissa, Larigakis met with Dimitrios Kouretas, governor of the Region of Thessaly. Lt. Gen. (ret.) In addition to a dinner that was hosted for Larigakis, he and Kouretas met at the governor’s office where a discussion ensued related to potential opportunities for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

In Athens, Larigakis continued high-level consultations with senior government and diplomatic officials. He met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis (Yiannis) Loverdos and Maria Myrogianni, secretary general for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy. At the U.S. Embassy, Charge d’ Affaires Josh Huck received Larigakis for a substantive exchange on U.S.–Greece relations and regional developments.

“AHI is committed to fostering constructive dialogue with government leaders in Greece and U.S. officials alike to promote American interests,” Larigakis said. “These meetings reaffirm our shared priorities, and I thank everyone for taking the time to meet with me.”
