Greek Foreign Minister Visits Washington for Strategic Dialogue; Meets With AHI President

Washington, DC — AHI President Nick Larigakis met Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis, February 9, 2024. The foreign minister visited the United States to participate at the 5th U.S.-Greece Strategic Dialogue.

“We had a great conversation regarding issues that concern the bilateral relations between the United States and Greece and issues of importance to the Greek American community," President Larigakis said. "I'm very grateful to Foreign Minister Gerapetritis for taking time out of his busy schedule for this meeting."

5th Strategic Dialogue Between Greece and US

In addition to the 5th U.S.-Greece Strategic Dialogue, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss current events, signed the Artemis Accords on behalf of Greece to promote cooperation in space exploration, and had a conversation with U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry on Greece’s leading role in clean energy production and its partnership with the United States in addressing climate change. He also spoke at Georgetown University on Greece’s role in international affairs.
