European Parliament Member Giannis Maniatis Visits AHI Headquarters

WASHINGTON - On June 3, 2025, European Parliament Giannis Maniatis visited the American Hellenic Institute for a meeting with AHI president Nick Larigakis.

Giannis Maniatis previously served as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament from 2004 to 2014 and again from 2015 to 2019. In between his terms, he served as Minister of the Environment and Energy of Greece. Before entering government, Maniatis was an engineer at the National Technical University of Athens.


The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) is a non-profit policy center and think tank founded in 1974 that promotes the interests of the United States in foreign affairs involving Greece, the Republic of Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Southern Europe.
